The Moon Rats 

The Moon Rats are a hip new blue-country-rock-grass orchestra, playing only the most enjoyable music! If you find yourself singing, dancing, using the master violet ray or just plain having a good time, then The Moon Rats are probably rocking somewhere near you.

Elizabeth Davies - A public health commandant and an amazing vocalist are just two of the ways to describe Elizabeth. She was born in Martinsville, down in the deep southern reaches of Virginia where she was raised by a singing nanny. Sunday morning sing-alongs would include songs such as "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Cat Scratch Fever". Although such performances these days are rare, you can still hear Elizabeth singing from miles around on a clear day.

Jim Davies (no relation) - You've seen him on TV! You've heard him on the radio! Now it's time to come see him at a show! Jim is always rocking out on his various instruments, and for some reason won't stop writing good songs. Apart from being able to cook fish in the dishwasher, he has spawned some of the greater historical standing ovations.

Mike Hott - If you see this man walking down the street, run up and give him a big hug. There's nothing Mike loves more than hugs, except playing the bass. His energy and loose morals are what drive the band to be the fun-loving, mind-blowing group you've come to know. There is nothing this genius savant can't build, or play.....or build and then play.

Mark Phelan - This magical vagabond was blessed with the gift of song. He has rocked more crowds, in more places of the world than you can count on both hands! A stylish guitar tone and golden "choir-boy" voice adds a much needed musicality to The Moon Rats. His super hero style crime fighting career hasn't interfered with playing in the band yet, but we made him get rid of the spandex and cape.

Aaron Spring - Back from his most recent tour in Singapore with the 39th Italian Flotilla-Auxiliary Unit, This bearded woodwindist is steadily making a scene for himself back in Virginia. Aaron's daily activities include reading fan mail, feeding neighborhood cats and (time permitting) playing etudes by the fire. His musical virtuosity and love of loud shirts makes his clarinet-ophone solos sweeter than key lime pie.
